Choosing the right mentors matter and we need to choose wisely because the wrong mentors can be neutral at best and harmful at worst.

A good mentor understands that their role is to support you and to build your capacity

A good mentor helps you believe in yourself and not in them
A good mentor refers you to others when they can’t provide the help you need
A good mentor is worth seeking out and priceless once found
