Bus tickets for 2023

Who got the most difficult work to do? May be the one that looks tired ... really tired?

Benefits of Taking Math Outside

Mathematics has a number of very useful benefits to our mind if we go into its study. It develops our reasoning, helps us to have analytical thinking, quickens our mind, generates practicality and also its use can be applied in the day to day.

The mathematics is present in our daily lives. For many students, maths is boring, abstract, lacking in creativity, complex and very difficult to understand, hence the typical expressions of “I am of letters” or “Numbers are not mine.” However, it is a subject that is part of the study of our children and as such should be an effort for compression, which usually involves constant practice.

Mathematics quickens our minds and helps us, in general, to deepen and think when we are faced with complex problems.

Benefits of Taking Math Outside ...

Superman is giving extra classes on a Saturday!!
1. The fresh air and sun is good for their health.

Being outside can increase the levels of serotonin and dopamine in the brain, helping the learners to be happier and less stressed.

Because there is no black board, the concentration is much higher.

2. A change of scenery can be motivating.
Sometimes just a change from the normal, everyday can be exciting and fun for learners. I personally saw greater engagement and participation from high school learners when we worked outside.

Hier staan hy

Active ATOMS ...

What begin as an experiment has gradually matured into a tool people can not live without in the educational sector.

The co-founder, Kabelo Makheta and four demi-tutors of ATOMS, have found a solution to counter act the lack of understanding of the power subjects maths and science by offering tutorials that are effective in breaking down topics for learners to understand fully and apply in their daily educational lives.

SAGE: ATOMS... from learner to learner...

Since our main goal is to improve the students's marks, our outcome must be good, impressive results and also they must understand the work to the extend that they can help others too. They must excel and feel like Mathematicians and Physicians since the two subjects play a crucial role in Engineering field.

Clarity
The focus on outcomes creates a clear expectation of what needs to be accomplished by the end of the year. Students will understand what is expected of them and tutors will know what they need to teach during teaching time. Clarity is important over years of schooling and when tutors are involved.

Involvement
Students involvement in the class is a key of good outcomes. Students are expected to do their own learning, so they gain full understanding of the material. Increased student involvement allows students to feel responsible for their own learning and they should learn more through this individual learning.

About ATOMs
It must be known as one of the most powerful group of tutors that help others to do better in Mathematics and Physical Science, a group that made an impact in the schools educational field and will do its best to keep improvement in the school, a group that saw failure and made change, a LEGACY.

KEEP IN MIND:

The ATOMs...

*MISSION!!!*
A mission statement is a short statement of an organization's purpose, identifying the scope of its operations: what kind of product or service it provides.

*DESIGN*
According to Forbes, the following questions must be answered in the mission statement:
“What do we do?”
“How do we do it?”
“Whom do we do it for?”
“What value are we bringing?”

*What do we do?*
We tutor students not just for the sake of improving their school marks.
Our main objective is to improve their understanding of the two Power Subjects, Mathematics and Physical Sciences.
By improve their understanding in these subjects,  eventually a point will come where no matter how a question is asked in a test/ examination they will be able to answer it.
We also aim to help them apply these subjects in their everyday lives.

*How do we do it?*
We start by researching a topic and try to get the most useful/effective information about the specific topic, then we get everyday examples and physically demonstrate it to the students, by saying this I mean we are going to make use of visual aids to bring interest to the subjects.

*Whom do we do it for?*
As stated above, our main objective is to improve the students' understanding of Mathematics and Physical Sciences so this innovative is for every student:
From those who aim to pass the subjects to those who those who aim to get DISTINCTIONS.

Frankly speaking, this innovative is for every student in the grounds of Technical High School because by coming to this specific school we chose the Engineering field, and in this field Mathematics and Physical Sciences play a crucial role that's why it is highly important to focus more on understanding the concept.

These two subject play a crucial role in other fields also, meaning if a student has these two subjects and wants to change careers it will be much easier as opposed to someone who doesn't have these subjects, that is why we consider them as "Power Subjects".

*What value are we bringing?*
The team consists of 4 powerful academic scholars, who have been dominating the "TOP 10" scene, along with their mentor. The entire team is fond of Mathematics and Physical Sciences and we are setting the example of focusing more on improving our understanding of these subjects and focus less on what 'might' appear on a test.

To conclude I would like to quote RENÉ DESCARTES'( French philosopher, mathematician, and scientist ) words, which were, "I accept no principles of physics which are not also accepted in mathematics."
By saying this I am trying to emphasise on the cruciality of Maths and Physics and the fact that these two subjects go hand in hand.
