Congratulations, class of 2022

A big congratulations to the class of 2022 for obtaining a pass rate of 92%. The school is very proud of you guys, not only that, but we as the class of 2023 intend to do even better than you guys.

You guys are the motive behind our thirst to perform this year and put the school on the map just like you guys did, and quite frankly the only way to quench that thirst is to put in a lot of work during this year. At the end of the day the class of 2022 still remains as the class that made it through all odds and inspire us to give it our all.

This performance consequently encourages the teachers to be proud of their work thus investing more in us, as it is a nice feeling for teachers to get such results from the learners

As much as we congratulate the class of 2022, we should not forget about the teachers that made all of this possible.

Message to the grade 8's of 2023

I am so excited of this year as it is my last. It feels like it was just yesterday when I first came through that front gate and got initiated into the Tekkie span as a "Klein Tekkie" as I like to call it. I can recall the exact day so well, you would swear it happened just a few hours ago. With a blink of an eye four years later here I am wondering how in the world did I get here so fast. Do not get me wrong though, I enjoyed every second I spent here at school and have made plenty of memories to reminiscence on, because I knew what I want from day one and no one dared to stand in my way. Yes, I stepped on some toes in the process but that is just one of the many life lessons or rather, teachings I received at high school about what the "real world" is all about and what it takes in preparation to survive it.

To the new grade 8 learners I say all of this to you to emphasize the point of choice making you guys need to channel yourselves into. Trust me, nothing is easier than to set a goal and work towards it. The only factor that tends to deteriorate this path you have set for yourself are the external forces that act upon you and you are the only person to resist them, no one else. Unfortunately no one will be available to hold you hand every step of the way.

But don't you worry you are still to learn a lot from your brothers.

The Tekkie spirit lives within all of us.To bite the bullet and keep moving. I welcome you all and hope you enjoy being part of the Tekkie span.

Grade 8 up 'till grade 11
Education provides stability in life, and it's something that no one can ever take away from you. By being well-educated and holding a matric certificate of a specialized school, you increase your chances for better career opportunities and open up new doors for yourself.

Good luck for 2023

Happy new year to all of my fellow Tekkies and the Tekkie staff as well as their families too. I hope this year will be fruitful to all of us, as it is a new beginning and a new chapter of our lives. We all know what we did wrong or had failed at in the previous year. Now it is time to cut those bad habits and develop new habits that will keep us focused on our goals and not deviate from the end result we wished and had longed for.

Kanya Gojo went to the Child Led Imbizos in Gauteng

SCSA hosted the Child Led Imbizos in Gauteng at Constitutional Hill. The Free State sent 10 delegates from CRG Project Identified Schools. High profile learners from inter alia Matjhabeng, Tokologo and Mantsopa municipalities were identified.

SCSA will empower children in schools and communities to meaningfully engage with politicians, primarily to ensure that the Manifestos of different political parties reflect the needs, demands and aspirations of children. Though the Child Led Imbizos, SCSA is acting children's citizenship and enable them to directly make politicians, decisions and policy makers aware of their specific needs and demands.

Kanya Gojo, the executive junior mayor from Matjhabeng represent this part of the Free State. Kanya is also the chairperson of THS.
