In Loving Memory ...

It is with deep sadness that we learned of the passing of one of our beloved learners.

On behalf of the management, staff, learners, and the entire school community, we extend our sincere condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.

May the memories shared bring comfort and strength, and may his soul rest in peace.

You will forever remain part of our school family.

In Loving Memory ...

It is with deep sadness that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of one of our learners.
Lesego touched the lives of many with his warm smile, gentle heart, and positive spirit.

As a school, we mourn this great loss and extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and all who knew and loved him. May his memory be a blessing, and may we all find comfort in the moments we shared with Lesego.

The earth called it's gold.

Called is the gold of dreams

Held by a mind and heart

Quiet is now, he who sleeps

Where do one now start?

To speak of a life

So young and bright

How the writing is bold

For it is seen of gold

Now he lies silent with a permanent smile

Leaving behind shattered dreams of his mother's cries.

In Loving Memory ...

It is with deep sadness that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of one of our learners on Monday, 10 June 2025.

He was a friendly, well-mannered young man who brought warmth and kindness to those around him. His gentle spirit and positive presence touched the hearts of many, and he will be remembered fondly by his teachers, classmates, and friends.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. The HTS staff and community mourn with them and offer our deepest condolences.

HTS groet Kabelo Moroka

'n Graad 12-leerder, Kabelo Moroka, is Sondag, 15 September 2024 oorlede. HTS se vlae hang halfmas vir jou! Die kunstenaar in jou het Sondag net stil geword en nooit weer sal jy 'n potlood optel om jou gevoelens op papier uit te druk nie. Jy het jou tekentalent in graad 4 ontdek en dit het jou passie geword. Sonder kunsopleiding het jy die talent gehad om emosie en gevoel in jou werk te sit. Jy het ook gesê dat as jy teken jy vryheid ervaar wat andersins nie moontlik was nie.

Vandag het jou maats en familie jou gegroet. Te vroeg ... te gou!

We bid goodbye to Sano Lesoetsa

We as a Tekkie family are shocked to a standstill by the senseless murder of Sano Lesoetsa who matriculated in 2013.

We pay tribute to him who was a foreman at Harmony at the time of his death.

Sending the family the school's deepest condolences during this difficult time. May you find comfort in the loving memories of Sano Lesoetsa. The school is keeping your family in our thoughts and prayers.

HTS groet Hester

Dit is met groot hartseer dat ons vanaand verneem het van Hester Bothma, HTS se sekretaresse se dood. Hester was vir meer as 20 jaar die inspirasie in die hartkamer van die skool.

Sy was ‘n kollega, 'n vriendin en 'n omgee-tannie met ‘n hart van goud. Sy het altyd gehelp waar sy kon. 'n Vriendelike sekretaresse wat altyd bereid was om die ekstra myl vir elke onderwyser te loop.

Sy was baie lief vir blomme, veral krismisrose. In beide haar en die hoof se kantore was altyd blomme uit haar tuin. Sy was al die jare verantwoordelik vir die groot blommerangskikkings van die skool se prysuitdelings en ander funksies.

Groente en suurlemoene uit die oorvloed van haar tuin, het dikwels ongesiens in die personeelkamer geland met sakkies, sodat elkeen na behoefte kon vat.

Sy het nooit 'n personeeluitstappie gemis nie, sy was hart en siel deel van die skool se melodramas.

Hester se ander groot talent was kosmaak en onthaal. Sy en Riana het baie keer die spyskaart vir die matriekafskeid en personeelfunksies uitgewerk en voorgesit. Van peuselhappies kon jy haar niks leer nie.

Haar kantoor was dikwels 'n miernes van bedrywighede, want die een wil iets hê, die ander iets gee, nog een soek 'n vorm of 'n telefoonnommer en aan almal het sy aandag gegee. Die ekstra stoel in haar kantoor, so half weggesteek in die hoek, was baie keer die biegstoel, want Hester kon goed luister, raad gee en verstaan waardeur mense gaan. Dikwels was 'n woord van bemoediging en 'n glimlag al wat nodig was, om dié een weer op die pad te kry.

Hester se rykdom het in haar innerlike waarde gelê. Ons kan haar in twee woorde raakvat: dierbaar en kosbaar.

Hester, jou plekkie by HTS sal leeg wees, maar in ons harte sal jy altyd voortleef. Ons gaan jou ongelooflik mis, maar ons gun jou die rus.

Ons laat die skool se vlae halfmas vir HTS se juweel hang. Ons harte gaan uit na Hester se gesin en familie. Mag julle vrede daarin vind dat sy veilig is.
