God has a plan with each of us ...

I write this with great sadness over the indescribable loss of a close friend and learner of HTS Welkom.

I knew Dijane as a humble but also a very strong person. Someone with willpower and perseverance. We as school asked the Lord to keep you safe during the operation in the hall. What an experience where all the grade 12 learners prayed for Dijane in the hall.

God has a plan with each of us.

Dijane you touched many people with your personality and perseverance. Rest in peace and we know that where you are now there is peace and no more pain.

HTS Welkom honor you as an exceptional learner and friend!

Mr PJH Swanepoel
Principal

Funeral: Dijane Motseki

The funeral for Dijane will be this Saturday at the St Andrews
Hall @ 7:30.

Heaven has gained a soldier ...

Bobo seems like only yesterday when we where planning to meet and all last week to be exact. One of the best chats was when we where having a mini argument about patient cake one with no sugar ... didn't know that the more we talked was him saying good bye in a way ... if I could turn back hands of time I would really come taste that patient cake😔 ... gone too soon with a promise you haven't yet fulfilled of us meeting again .. heaven has gained a soldier ...

Sing me a song

Sing me a song
That plays softly and takes long
For this melancholy is quite not short
Piano keys and muffled cries
As I batter myself over lost time
Yet to see time’s wings but oh dear it flies
What did we sow to reap this much?
Lord why do you our souls crush?
Such sad news before lunch

A dear life you led my friend
Breathtaking and without much suspense
A die hard soccer fan you were
Lord could you not let us just prepare?
The stars are writing your name amongst them
For your ambition and passion shone just like them
I wish to write you the best of masterpieces
But you are the master piece amongst the pieces
I write with sorrow and pain
This heartbreak I cannot explain
Do not cry as you read this
God’s work is unquestionable
He had given and now he has taken
Dijane Motseki May your soul Rest In Peace

From mrs Balios ...

In his June Paper 3 English essay: "Class of 2018", Dijane expressed his determination to make this his greatest year to date. He declared that 2018 was HIS year: the year of his ultimate success; the year in which all his dreams and goals would be realised.

Dijane wanted to experience every single day to the full: to work hard at school and obtain excellent results in the final examinations but also to embrace the company of his family and friends. Dijane said emphatically that he would live life to the fullest and would never exclude himself from a single activity - from attending school and working with utmost diligence, to actively participating in - and appreciating - school excursions as well as spending memorable moments with his family and friends. In particular, Dijane was so looking forward to the Matric Farewell in August at which he could celebrate a successful school career.

Dijane's loss is devastating to us all but despite our grief, we must remember a young man who fought hard and with unbelievable courage. In the United States, members of the armed forces who are killed in action after displaying extraordinary bravery, receive a decoration for their complete courage in the face of adversity. This decoration is called the 'Purple Heart', and is regarded as the highest award for perseverance, determination and bravery. To be courageous does not mean one has no fear; rather, it is the ability to rise above one's fear with the deliberate intention of winning, often against the odds.

Dijane did just that. He faced his illness with remarkable valour and, accordingly, he is awarded the Purple Heart decoration from his Class of 2018.

There is a trial of beautiful memories ...

Photos from Afrika Mokhosi - thank you for all the effort!

Good bye, Dijane ...
