Further support for Afrikaans speaking learners

In this post, I have given information about the support given by Netwerk24.com. Note that the videos are supported by presentations that can be downloaded.

Lately, three other resources have come to my attention.

The Free State Department of Education: a digital learning project

The Free State Department of Education is introducing a digital learning project to ensure that matriculants in the province stay ahead and up to date with their syllabus during Covid19 epidemic.

The digital learning project will be from 11am to 17pm for 18 days, from the 1st until 30th of April.

The project will be live on the following social media pages on Facebook is (Free State Digital learning), Twitter @MecTateMakgoe, Instagram @Mec Tate Makgoe and it will also be live on seven community radio stations across the province.

For the first week the project will be focusing on the following subjects English,Sesotho, Mathematics P1, Technical Mathematics P1, Mathematical Literacy P1, Accounting,Economics P1 and Physical Science.

The subjects will be divided in the following manner :
On the 1st of April
English 11- 12 am
Sesotho 14:00-15:00 pm
Mathematics P1 - 16:00-17:00 pm

On the 2nd of April
English 11- 12
Sesotho 14:00 - 15:00
Technical Mathematics P1 16:00 - 17:00

Be it Mathematics or Science - The Learning App provides learning modules for CAPS and International curriculum. Textbook concepts are explained in great detail using game-based and thematic pedagogy at lower grades, and hierarchical and layered approach for the senior levels.

Vrystaat Konvensie 2018 by Noordwes-Universiteit

Best: "Juffrou, it was awesome. All the different venue that we went to, Faculty of Environmental Science/ Engineering and Health Science, were all great. And the lectures were all motivational. It was worth it because now I have more insight about the course that I am going to study next year. Daar was net een kompetisie; we had to build a tall structure using marshmallows and spaghetti, and we lost this competition. JUFFROU, dit was 'n goeie ervaring. Among the best educational trips I've ever been to."

En toe wen Best die weddenskap ...

Best het die uitdaging wat sommer as 'n grap gedurende die Vrydagmiddag-ekstraklas begin het, aanvaar. Mev. Alda Welman het R500,00 op die tafel gesit vir elkeen wat onder die top 50 graad 12-leerders in die Vrystaat eindig. Hierdie toppresteerders gaan na die Konvensie wat vanjaar by die Noordwes-Universiteit aangebied word. Na amper 4 weke wat vir almal soos 4 maande gevoel het, is die name bekend gemaak. Almal het al hulle R500,00 "gebruik", van die matriekafskeid tot by registrasiegeld... en daar loop Best met die prys weg. Baie geluk, Best ... jy is die beste!!
