Dink hieroor: Vervang Negatiewe Gedagtes

Think about it: Poor sportsmanship ...
Team members with poor sportsmanship learned from their parents to be toxic and it is not acceptable. The goal should be to teach them to only ever encourage and raise their teammates up.
Self centered and self absorbed comparison of self to others in order to make self look better only fosters negativity and intentional hurt.

Think about it: Successful in life ...
Jocker Wilson: "I've coached a long time and I do not focus on winning games as the primary objective. I focus on building great young men. Teaching them the tools to be successful in life. Tools to not only become a better athlete, but a better person too. If you do this the right way, and teach kids these things and everything you know about your sport, the wins come naturally."

Think about it: You can be successful ...
Do your best when no one is looking. If you do that, then you can be successful in anything that you put your mind to.

Think about it ... A grateful heart
A grateful heart and a curious mind not only are critical for our growth, but we give others a model and the permission to do the same.

Think about it What keeps me going ...
Ron O'Brien said: "What keeps me going is not winning, but the quest for reaching potential in myself as a coach and my kids as divers. It's the pursuit of excellence."

Think about it: Self-motivation ...
You can motivate by fear, and you can motivate by reward. But both those methods are only temporary. The only lasting thing is self-motivation.

Think about it ... The rewards are far greater
I believe that when you can put other peoples needs ahead of yours, you have arrived to be able to do something special. No matter what you apply it to. When you are able to give and expect nothing in return, the rewards are far greater.

Think about it: Treat a person as he is ...
Treat a person as he is, and he will remain as he is. Treat him as he could be, and he will become what he should be.

Think about it ... Winning is a byproduct of hard work
“It’s sad that our society is teaching athletes to be passionate about the win and NOT the sport! Winning is a byproduct of hard work and hard work is a byproduct of LOVING the sport.
I always tell my parents we are NOT chasing plastic trophies and banners, we are building character, team and love of the sport - wins will naturally come when those things are present. During the losses athletes learn, if allowed and are not beaten down, how to be better at the game and better, strong athletes overall.”

Think about it ... Evening
G.K. Chesterton once penned a beautiful poem titled “Evening.”
These simple five lines that constitute this poem have inspired others to write much more:
Here ends another day
During which I have had eyes, ears, hands
And the great world round me;
Tomorrow begins another day.
Why am I allowed two?
Here ends another day
During which I have had eyes, ears, hands
And the great world round me;
Tomorrow begins another day.
Why am I allowed two?

Think about it ... Your victory is right around the corner - don't ever give up.
Karin drove with her dad.
They came upon a storm, and the Karin asked her father: What should I do?"
He says "Keep on driving."
Cars started pulling to the side, the storm has gotten worse.
"What must I do?" Karin asked.
"Keep driving," her dad replied.
The storm is awful and everyone is taking off!
Her father told her, "Don't give up, just keep driving!"
Now the storm was terrible, but she never stopped driving, and soon she could see a little clearer."
After a few miles she was back on dry ground, and the sun came out.
Her father said, "Now you can pull down and get out."
She said, "But why now?"
"He said, "When you come out, look back at all the people who gave up and are still in the storm, because you never gave up, your storm is now over."
This is a testimony for anyone going through “difficult times.”
Simply because everyone else, even the strongest, give up, you don't have to ...
If you keep going, your storm will soon be over and the sun will shine on your face again.

Think about it ...
What was Benjamin Franklin's advice on life?
“Don't throw stones at your neighbors, if your own windows are glass.”
“He that would live in peace & at ease, must not speak all he knows or judge all he sees.”
