Matrics: Blessings for 2026

When you get where you're going,
where all things are new,
may you find what you seek,
may your dreams come true.
May your heart be happy,
may your life be blessed,
for you are much loved
and you are the best!

May you always be happy,
whatever you do,
and my thoughts and my
prayers are with you too!

[Thank you, Elmari!]

From Tekkie Tonic: Happy New Year

We hope you have a fantastic year ahead of you and enjoy all the opportunisties along the road. May this year bring everyone joy and happiness!

Happy New Year

On this New Year, may you change your direction and not dates, change your commitments and not the calendar, change your attitude and not the actions, and bring about a change in your faith, your force, and your focus and not the fruit. May you live up to the promises you have made and may you create for you and your loved ones the happiest New Year ever.

We wish you courage, hope and faith to overcome all of the hurdles you may face. May you have a great happy, healthy, prosperous year and a wonderful time ahead.

Good luck for 2023

Happy new year to all of my fellow Tekkies and the Tekkie staff as well as their families too. I hope this year will be fruitful to all of us, as it is a new beginning and a new chapter of our lives. We all know what we did wrong or had failed at in the previous year. Now it is time to cut those bad habits and develop new habits that will keep us focused on our goals and not deviate from the end result we wished and had longed for.

A happy and productive 2023

As the year 2022 winds down, many are enthralled with the festivities that usually accompany this time of the year. However matriculants celebrate the festivities with a hint of anxiety as they await their results which are scheduled to be released around the 20th of January.

The anxiety is a natural human feeling which engulfs all human beings when they are confronted with a possible outcome they cannot control. This is because society has unfortunately created this two dimensional frame of mind which looks at our educational journeys as either a pass or a fail, it leaves no space for second chances. As matriculants patiently wait for their results they should bear in mind that whatever the outcome is, it is only a window through which greater improvement lies. As in the words of the late Nelson Mandela when he said "after climbing a great hill, one finds that there are many more hills to climb". That is the spirit which we need to approach both our academic life and more importantly our life in general.

This applies to young people who will be going to tertiary institutions across the country, to be a young person in such a vast and unpredictable digital era is not easy, things might appear faster and easier but the transition is a very bumpy ride. Leaving home, starting new friendships and encountering academic stresses all have a big burden on our young shoulders, however it will be our eagerness for a better life that will carry us through all those supposed challenges. So as we all get ready to engage with the world and bring to it our own diverse perspectives, let us do so with more kindness, more compassion, less hate, more love and most importantly empathy. As we transition to becoming young adults, lets remember to be more careful around our use of alcohol, even as we explore let's remember to steer clear from drug use and ensure we condomise and keep safe.

To the teachers of our great schools who continue being the engine of human development, unlocking potential, identifying skill and sharing knowledge, thank you. Teaching is a vocation, and through your dedication and consistency you inspire a generation and you change lives, continue with your hard work and ensure many more lives are changed.

I wish we all have a productive and prosperous new year full of opportunity.

[Thank you, Alex Manise]

To all the Tekkie teachers and the learners

It's a wonderful day -  Oh yes, it's a wonderful year at large !

May the new year bring new goals, new happiness, and new blessings. Wishing you a new year loaded with happiness! May the new year bring all the good things in life you truly deserve.

You had an amazing year and this one will be even better! Through all the storms we faced the past two years, we are still alive today. When people got lost in the midst of COVID-19, we are still striving. Till this day, we say; Lord you have been with us through thick & thin. We are just children who sin everyday, but you've never left us nor forsaken us. We say thank you ! Not even the best words in this world can describe the gratitude we have for the gift of life, but Lord you know what's in our hearts. Please bless each and every learner and teacher out there. Please be with them & protect them throughout the new year. Guide them as they are your children. Keep them in unity -Together Forever. Amen !

Happy New Year

Hold on to what is good
even if it is a handful of earth.
Hold on to what you believe
even if it is a tree which stands by itself.
Hold on to what you must do even if it is a long way from here.
[Traditional Tewa]

Dear Tekkies, may the coming year bring along new hopes and new opportunities ... May you learn from your past mistakes and accomplish your targets for future with your strength and dedication ... No lesson is difficult once you start reading it, no goal is difficult to accomplish once you start working hard for it ... All you need to do is take the first step ... May in this year, you take all the first steps you missed on in the last year ... Wish you a Happy New Year.

Happy New Year

One year everyone will never miss! But one year everyone will remember!

One minute we're with them, and the next they're gone.. But wait! Let me start from the beginning!

2020 has taken away the most precious and important people from us. It has taken our doctors, teachers, nurses, front line workers, family members, friends and a whole lot more ... But 2020 has taught us how to live with one another. It has taught us what it means to be loved by your loved ones. It has taught us that life is unpredictable. Life is short so we need to make the best out of it while we can. People normally say we live once, I say: " False. We live everyday".

We don't know what tomorrow holds, but we know who holds tomorrow.

May this year bring you much love, joy and prosperity. Wishing all of you, a year full of love and cheer. I wish you to look forward to the upcoming year with confidence and courage, giving wings to your dreams! Continue living your dreams! Continue flying high - Let the skies be the limit. Live your life to the fullest extent, happy New Year!

God's richest blessings upon everyone of us
