The Youth Day Derby is run by the South African Schools Debating Board (SASDB). The SASDB is a non-profit organisation that provides utmost training and competitions for debaters in the country from District, Inter Provincial, Provincial and National standards. International competitions as well!
This is the first time that the SA Debating board will be hosting such a competition. It is a British Parliament debate tournament in honour of Youth Day 2020! We will be debating in pairs of two (2) speakers in a team instead of the normal three (3) speakers in a team. It is an amazing opportunity for young speakers to learn and explore debating with speakers from different provinces at National level. Also a great opportunity for them to learn about the virtual hosting of a tournament. If you're interested in pursuing BA(LAW)/LLB after matrix, then this is your chance to learn now!
