Success: What are the common mistakes of successful people?

Just stop doing them.
* Fail To Take Action.
* While you're busy suffering from “paralysis of analysis,” successful people are out there making moves.
* Quit After The First Try.
* Think They Know Everything.
* Lie To Themselves.
* Fail To Learn From Mistakes.
* Start Without A Plan.
* Believe In Luck.
* Try To Do It All Themselves.

* Vraag: Is die maan 'n planeet?
Antwoord: Ja, die maan is ’n planeet net soos die aarde, dit is net nog dooier.

* Vraag: Gee die formule om die oppervlakte van ´n sirkel te bepaal.

Life wisdom: Finding purpose

Purpose can spring from something simple, like a hobby, or more complex, such as contributing your service to your community in some way. While there's no one formula to find that inspiration, there are ways to cultivate it. Here are 10 suggestions to get you started, adapted from the Harvard Special Health Report Self-Care (/scshr).

2. Think about the obstacles you have overcome in your life.

3. Draw up a purpose timeline.

4. Look for role models.

5. Become a mentor and share your knowledge and skills.

6. Think about what the world needs.

7. Read Viktor Frankl's book Man's Search for Meaning.

8. Write your own story.

9. Write your own obituary.
(You can do this at any age, maybe not for publication - just for yourself or your family. What do you want to be remembered for? Can any of that inform your purpose now? If you haven't yet achieved something you're especially proud of, remember that it's not too late.)

10. Picture yourself winning the lottery.

LOL: Blou Maandag-humor ...

* Wat het die mense gesê van die hond wat verslaaf was aan knoffel?
Sy blaf is baie erger as sy byt.”

* Hoe weet jy jou hond is stadig?
Hy bring gister se koerant vir jou.

Miss Face of Matjhabeng - Linda Letoana

On Monday, 09 March 2026, HTS Welkom girls were honored by a visit from Miss Face of Matjhabeng 2025.

She motivated and inspired the girls, sharing that beauty is not the only attribute of a model. Young girls should take pride in themselves and always reach for the stars. Our girls were very excited and did not even want her leave. She will be visiting the school again in term 2 to honour her duties by surprising our girls with a donation.

Thank you to Miss Face of Matjabeng 2025, we look forward to your next visit.

Gideon Bibles South Africa

This morning, we welcomed the Gideon Ambassadors to our school to visit our Grade 8 learners. They once again shared the incredible impact they make by distributing Gideon Bibles in schools.

As part of their visit, they generously provided our learners with Bibles, ensuring that each student could receive God’s Word.

Spreading God’s Word through Bible distribution can lead people to faith in Christ. New believers grow by studying Scripture and can even use it to share their newfound faith with others.

We are grateful for their visit and for their work in making God’s Word accessible to so many.
