Value yourself

A speaker started off his seminar by showing a $20 to the public. He asked the people “who wants this?” There was no surprise to see that all of them lifted their hands. He offered to give the money to one of them but insisted that he will do something to it.

He crumpled the paper money and showed it again to the crowd and repeated the question. Still, everyone raised the hands. He then put the money into the ground and stepped on it and then raised it again and offered it to the public.

The people gathered there still showed interest to take that money despite seeing how dirty the note was. He told the public” No matter what I did to this money, you all still wanted this.

You all went in favor of my offer just because the value of the money never decreased despite what all I did to it. Similarly, value yourself despite the painful conditions or failures”

Moral: Believe in yourself and work hard to achieve success. Value yourself irrespective of the failures or obstacles and don’t degrade yourself just because of the temporary setbacks.

Kyk mooi na hierdie foto's. Tussen die dertig matrieks, sit daar 'n graad 8-mannetjie. En tot ons bittere skaamte, is sy voorstelle vir vraestel 3, beter as ons s'n. Mnr. Kabelo noem hom "Bundle of Joy." Vir ons voel hy meer na 'n "Bundle of Knowledge." Dit is net jammer dat ons hom nie in die eksamenlokaal kan insmokkel nie - dink net aan ons punte ...

Die eerste dag van ons Septembereksamen ...

Ons matriekjaar is verby. Hier staan ons voor die eksamenlokaal en ons besef hierdie jaar het vinniger verby gevlieg, as wat ons verwag het.

Is ons gereed? Tyd sal leer - miskien moes ons meer geleer het, maar nou lê hef aan voor.

Het iemand my naamkaartjie gesien?

Moet ek tussen die lyne lees?

Nadat ons klaar geskryf het en uit die saal gekom het, word ons die ooggetuies van die ongeluk tussen die koshuis en die skool. (En ek is nogal deel van die Road Safety-span ...?)

Ek hoop van harte dat daar nie enige verband tussen die ongeluk en ons eksamen is nie. Mev. Welman sê altyd: "Lees tussen die lyne." of "Wat is die simboliek van hierdie of daardie gebeurtenis?"

Hierdie leerders het vanjaar aan die  natuurwetenskap-vasvra deelgeneem. Dankie aan mej. Lizbe Sauer wat so onvermoeid werk

Our boys have won the 1st place in the department of roads and transport PET (Participatory Educational Techniques) competition. They really showed dedication in the week they had to prepare a presentation against 3 schools in the district that have been in the competition since it begun. They are proceeding to the provincial.
