Jerry Mokoroane, was born and bred in Virginia since 1992.
He started his schooling career at Lakeview Primary School, and then later became a Tekkie in 2005, where he completed his grade 12 in 2010.
Leadership Roles
Jerry was a member of and held the following leadership positions since 2006.
2006 – He was the Chairperson of the Christian Society
2007 – He joined Dynamica 3099 as a junior member
2008 – He joined the Matjhabeng Junior City Council as a junior member, then later in 2009/10 became

2008 – Jerry was appointed as a Junior Station Commander of the Junior Policing Forum (CPF)
2008 – He began his career as journalist at the Local Newspaper (VISTA)
2011 – Jerry was appointed the Treasurer of the Residence Committee at the University of the Free State
2012 – He was appointed to write for two campus newspapers. (IRAWA and KampusBlad, that fell under Volksblad)
2012 – Jerry started his own Foundation, called “Unothando Education Foundation” which has over 3 branches in South Africa
2012/13 Jerry held an advisory Board Member position at “Inqubela Foundation” till date.
2013 - Jerry joined the Student Leadership Ranks in the SRC as the Executive Chair of the First Generation Portfolio, under the leadership of Tania Calitz
2013 – He also became a Peer Mentor at his Residence, coaching First Generation Students at the University
2013/14 Jerry joined ACTIVATE ZA., a leadership organization, where he graduated as a qualified Community Practitioner.
2013/14 He was appointed as a RC First Years in his residence. Providing leadership and mentorship to First Years in Residences
2015 – Was appointed as the Managing Director of CANSA Relay for Life in the Free State, UFS Bloemfontein Campus.

· Jerry made his first appearance on National Television (SABC 2) in 2010. Representing South Africa during the SAGE World-Cup
· Jerry, in 2015 delivered an Academic Paper at the Institute for Reconciliation for Social Justice titled : “Freeing myself from Freedom: Pedagogy of resilience: Reading Discourse from the “FeesMustFall” Movement
· Jerry wrote over 30 articles in different internal and external publications of the University. (Dumela, BULT, BOTHO and People’s of Kovsie)
