Flashback Friday: "Wêreldsterre" sal Welkom rooi verf

Poem: Biography

I recall the voice of my father,
That used to shrink my mother.
I recall the nights when he used to imprecate my brother.

How he was welcomed by the world
That I now can't stand the image of my brother,
I now stand ambiguous of my brother,
Unclear of his love for me.

For he is now nab and beam.
This for me has become surreal,
I can't credence this happening
My brother has become clifty.

I recall the tears my mother cried,
For they were corroboration of my mother's night.
I now loathe the sight of my father,
For I was too young to protect my mother.

I call to mind the days I never slept
I call to mind my mother's whimpering
I call to mind my mother's friend
Who's life was frailty for years.

As she Now lay lamented
By deeds of a man.
I recall the innocence
Of my laughter as a child

For it has Now passed from sight,
For I now walk with a wound
And I now talk from a wound
As I now inscribe my agonizing life.

MOM

Wholeheartedly,
She loved me-
And inspired me-
With transcending devotion.

It was a blessing-
To have been her son,
To have been loved-
Without conditions.

Her words of wisdom-
Opened my eyes-
To the world-
And to myself.

By seeing the best in me,
She empowered me.
By believing in me,
She transformed me.

She grew old-
And floated away,
But her love remains standing-
Eternally by my side.”

Giorge Leedy, Uninhibited From Lust To Love

Sy inspireer my!

Sy inspireer my daagliks.

Ek praat van my ma ... Die groot rolmodel in my lewe.

Sy inspireer my!

Swahili

In a world of predators and prey I live by grazing near the lake
I still remember the taste of my mother's milk
As I now gaze at my own reflection.

They say we line in a chain
But I think different
I can't stand a thought of prey
So I live to be different.

Jua is seen by those who never graze
But set to feed off those by taste
Jua kutua breaks early for my kind
Position of power has set like time.

Like scathing attacks committed on paper
She is not as different like my petrus neighbour
Who had profess life of ample perfidy
Only to be welcomed by the world's pit.

Poem: 11:35 P.M.

Girl in my dream
How your eyes seem to charm
The spark into me.
They so bright like the sun rays into me

Is it me or you are like a flower?
Planted so rich like kadupul flower.
Your love so rare
That I've felt it for an hour
Soreal was you,my kadupul flower

Just before midnight
I saw you bloom
Right to make you my wife
Your 'love' so true
But live in my eyes I saw you doom

You perished before dawn
Like I've never seen before
And just like orchid lover
Nor oligarch, neither was I able to
Pick you off the ground

Poem: Save me

Save me the joy you experience
When you live the life aside of mine
Save me the calls of experiences
When you on the life's alter.

Save me the colour Red
For it has never been kind
Save me the moments of joy
For I have never had mine

Save me
Save me the beauty of sunrise
For I have witnessed trauma in my eyes
Save me the smell of coffee
For I had only smelled the crafts of a coffin

Save me
Save me
Save me from my life
For it has seen many nights
Of kids who die with scars

Save me the night full of stars
And not the dice of cards
For life had played me
Far too long
Save me
Save me from this dark hole
For I still lust the love of Home

You make the difference

There is only one corner of the universe you can be certain of improving, and that is your own self. Nothing can stop a person with the right mental attitude from achieving their goal, nothing on earth can help a person with the wrong mental attitude.

You just can’t beat a person who never gives up!

TAKE ACTION! Find a method that will work for you. See the positive! Have a clear understanding of what a difference you can make. Know you have the ability to make a difference! And do it!!!

Nkosi sikelel Afrika

Composed by Enoch Sontonga.
A man who embodied hope
Or one could perceive him as a believer

In 1897 as a compensate
To those who really long a savior.
 Maluphakanyisw' uphonddo lwayo
Reign of higher state!
He cried to 'HER' motherland

*Uit die blou van onse Hemel
Within the sadness of our people
CJ Langenhoven criedout for saves of everyone.
 Oor ons ewige gebergtes

Morena boloka setjhaba sa heso
Gathered are we like stanzas,
As we pray and await for answers
So that one day we maybe as brothers

That when the sound call to come together,
We shall sing and shout for Hours
As we strive for freedom
Written by our beloved brothers.

Poem: A man's life

It's 12am, I'm woken by a noise
Some say I'm happy
But I don't have a choice.
The women I married
Keep changing over night.

We don't see eye to eye
Without it turn into a fight
I vowed to love her till death do is apart.
The women I married keep shouting over night.

I am the man of the house
With a WOMAN who wears
Pants in the house
Every minute I spend with her

Makes me regret our vows
The woman I married
What is it I don't do right?
Our marriage turned into a fight
When it's 3AM i go to work
And when I arrived it's all war

Why didn't I see this before
That I won't be happy
But today I file in DIVORCE
I don't say much
My writing says it all

We don't communicate
It's like fire and rain
And with all that said
I laydown the ring
You never show me respect

Your actions has pushed me away.
To the woman I married
Today I leave the regret

Poem: Concrete wall

I now see you fall
How I had thought
That I've seen it all
Protected was I by the wall.

A wall which I never saw a scare at my side
A wall which seemed tall and precious at my side
A wall so strong that I've never seen it cry
Today I've seen a crowed at the other side
A crowed which was as young as I

Today I'm grown, I see it no longer tall
How depressing it is to see it's back
A back which had carried us all
Had scars of scratches even on its shoulders
How I wish somebody had told us

That this is a life ready for all of us
Had I known?
Or was I once told?
Or had I not feared the unknown?
That I will one day miss home.
A place that once felt warm.
Today I stand at the backside of the wall

Poem: Scent of mercy

How of life it rains
Down to droughts of plains
Away it washes the pains of thy sins.
There hear beats again
In the chest of whom been wicked
And portrayed smiles of friendly.
There now the rain exposes
Thy hate.
Down in the shallow river that flow
Init they flow
How thy hate had hid
For smiles on faces had been.
This by far thee scent of mercy

You don't work here at all!!

A man asked his boss for a raise in salary.

The boss said: "What do you mean? You don't work here at all! Listen! There are 365 days in a year - 366 if it is a leap year. The work day is 8 hours - that's one third of a day. So, over the year that's 122 days. Then the office is shut on Sundays, so that is 52 days off, making 70. Then you have two weeks holiday - take off 14 days that's 56. There are 4 bank holidays which leaves 52. The office is also closed on Saturdays, and there are 52 Saterdays in a year. So you don't do anything here at all. Yet you ask me for a raise in salary!!!

[Thank you, Thabo!]

Die sleutel tot sukses

Wat is die sleutel tot sukses?

Is dit harde werk, lang ure of net intelligensie? Of moet jy bloot geniet wat jy doen ...?

Dis jou lewensdroom ... jou toekoms ... jou lewe!

Think about it: Who are you?

Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody

That’s Not My Job!
This is a story about four people named: Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that, because it was Everybody‘s job.
Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody would not do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

Who are you? Everybody? Somebody? Anybody? Or Nobody?

Want to be somebody?
