I enjoyed every second of the trip from the bus leaving school right till it came back. But most importantly it's what we saw at Kyalami that really got to us. We got a chance to interact with the different technicians who work there. We also got a chance to ask them questions about their passion and how they worked to achieve it. At the same time we learned how to go about achieving our own goals, it got so interesting we started asking questions like: "Are they offering any bursaries, internships?? What qualifications do you need to work for them. All these questions just really opened our eyes as to what a big world it is out there. In this case the world of motor sport Red-Lined is the most competitive off rally raid car producers in the world. It was quite interesting to interact with one of the technicians who was preparing a client's car for a trip to Holland, and other technicians that only specializes in one race car, where ever the car is in the world, he is there to take care of it and maintain it, he calls it his baby ... again this shows the immense love and passion he has of his work
Lastly I would like to thank Meneer van Vuuren for organizing this excursion. We really enjoyed it. Every stop Meneer asked if we were enjoying the trip and bought us breakfast and lunch on our way back home.
Thank you to Meneer Fanie for driving us through that traffic all day long and getting us home safely.
